The special attention from Jimmy Iovine, the president and key figure of a well-known American record company Interscope, on 2NE1 such as giving them specially made gifts has become an issue.

when perez posted 2ne1's debut in his blog he stated that KPOP is HOT! im so excited for them, i cant wait for them to return on stage.

yes its true... its a nice opportunity for them because they are already known.

i have to be very blunt about this
even though kpop and jpop are awesome to us
this type of music is not really welcomed by most people in the US
this is why reading perez hilton's blog is such a pain
if you would read the comments there, there's a lot that's really negative too
words like gay, lame, trash, stupid, and retarded are all over the place.
also, the one i hate the most "american wanabees"

if 2NE1 chooses to make a debut here
i think it will be best if they train a bit here in the US
this way they can capture american elements in their music
by doing this, the girls will not only improve
they will gain a broader audience and fan base in the US

remember that there are still americans out there who feel that they are more superior than others. it will be a tough road for the girls but i'm certain that they will be able to handle it well. ah, why can't people just have broader minds....

I agree.. asian are well known around here in US but the type of music that they play here is very different.... their POP genre in US has a different vibe.

and for 2ne1 and other groups be known is great!
