| 2NE1 announces “I Don’t Care” Published June 25, 2009 
“Fire” is still heating up the summer, but it’s not going to end there.
YG Entertainment’s rising female group will reveal their newest song “I Don’t Care” on July 1st. Following that on July 8th, their second mini-album, produced by 1TYM Teddy, will be released. “Fire” still has a lot of momentum, but 2NE1 isn’t going to fizzle out with the same old song by the end of this summer. On June 28th, 2NE1 will stop promoting “Fire” on June 28th with their last stage on SBS Inkigayo.
“I Don’t Care,” written and composed by Teddy and reggae hip-hop producer Stony Skunk Kush, is reported to be a mid-tempo song with a reggae melody, but leaning towards an R&B pop style. The girls have already finished filming the MV for “I Don’t Care” under the guidance of the director of big brothers Big Bang’s “Lies” MV. Ditching their funky street style (hopefully), the girls of 2NE1 will don a more feminine image. I have a sneaking suspicion that it’s going to be a song about scorned women who decide they don’t give a flying flip about their lover anymore.
Are the girls capable of packing a triple hit with “Lollipop“, “Fire“, and now “I Don’t Care”?
