Brown Eyed Girls vs. 2NE1: It’s ON!


The girl group Brown Eyed Girls announced that they will officially comeback in July to promote their new album. Their last mini-album “My Style” (September 2008) offered techno pop songs but for their new project the girls are said to be working on “classic style songs mixed with funk and urban”. Interesting.

Brown Eyed Girls will be facing tough competition though as other popular girl groups like Kara, SNSD and the newly debuted 4 Minute will also be active this summer. But according to industry insiders, the Brown Eyed Girls’ toughest competition will have to be the “BAMF chicks” of 2NE1



Both groups have 4 members. Both with hip-hop and R&B background. And with the word “urban” now being thrown around, it looks like B.E.G. might just have another thing in common with 2NE1.

2NE1 currently holds the top spot in most music charts. Do you think B.E.G or any the other girl group can beat them? Place yours bets now.

JYP wants numbers




With the explosion of girl groups based on numbers, 2NE1 (above) and 4minute, JYP must want a piece of the action. Despite the Wondergirls attempting to go big in the U.S. market and the debut of “Sisters” in China, the dancing gorilla cannot rest.

The producer extraordinaire is working on debuting another 3 girl group later this year. So what will the concept and name be? With the trend in copycat girl groups, we can only guesstimate that numbers and bright neon colors will be involved….or maybe sailor girls?

As for me whether 4 Minute, B.E.G. or any girl group, it's good to hear that their considering 2NE1 their nearest/toughest competitor. I'm for 2NE1 of course.

here's my thought!!!!!!

GeE, 2NE1 is like a DIvA nowadays cuz they are the HOT ISSUE not 4MIN(s) but for the past month since they debuted. Ahhh what would be their album like? Is it gonna be sweet as HONEY or Hot like Fire? all the crazy styling NOBODY can do it BUT them esp. my girl DARA with wtf hairstyles. Good thing she's such an eye candy.

1...2...3...4.... for 2NE1 is the HOT ISSUE :p
